Author
Yevhen Lyr is a Ukrainian writer, translator, volunteer, and drone pilot in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He is a co-founder of "Nedopysani," a memorial project dedicated to literary figures killed by Russian forces, and of the YouTube channel and publishing house "Your Underground Humanitarian." Yevhen’s best-known book is Stepovy Boh (The God of Steppes), a mystical novel set in the South of Ukraine.
He was part of a volunteer rescue team that arrived in Kherson the day after the Kakhovka dam was destroyed by the Russian military. Later, he served as a soldier in the Kherson region for half a year. "The FLOOD" is his first novel written in English.

Daria Pustova, our fixer, was born and raised in Kherson. She carries in her heart a deep love for Ukrainian South and a tender longing for her native steppe. She dreams of reclaiming a piece of the past by buying back her great-grandfather’s house in the village of Fedorivka, Kherson region.

A photographer and artist from Kyiv, Oleksandra Zlunytsyna works at the intersection of the performative and the documentary, focusing on themes of presence and the body. She captured incredible sceneries of Kherson and beauty of Khersonian people during our journey.

Tretii is a master jeweler, founder of "Terium Jewelry" from Kharkiv, talented in both design and bringing visuals to life. In our team, he played a double role: driving us to various locations and recording the soundscape of the Khersonian land. He defends Ukraine as a part of AFU as of now.
