About the Book

The FLOOD is a nonfiction novel that tells the story of one of the most devastating war crimes of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine — the destruction of the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant. This literary project combines real testimonies of soldiers, volunteers, and local residents with fictional narrative elements to guide the reader through the chaos, resilience, and silence that followed the flood.
